
Shelby Johnson, Head Trainer
Shelby Johnson is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. She trains fitness classes, small groups and one-on-one clients—specializing in strength and conditioning for athletes.
Shelby grew up in Parker, Colorado and moved to Provo to attend BYU. She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Wellness with a minor in Business. Shelby has participated in sports her whole life and enjoys being outdoors. She excelled at lacrosse and was team captain of the BYU Women’s Lacrosse team for two years.
After graduating, she became the lacrosse team’s Strength & Conditioning Coach. She also taught RIPPED and SPIN classes at the Provo Recreation Center. Shelby went on to becoming the Head Coach for the BYU Women’s Lacrosse team.
Because of her passion for sports, Shelby has always been fascinated by the physiology of the human body. She’s always understood that what she ate and how hard she trained would affect the way her body performed and the way she felt. She’s determined to help others—both athletes and non-athletes—understand their bodies and love them. Shelby is continually pushing herself to learn more and find new ways to inspire and motivate her clients, and she knows that individual client need’s are always very personal.

Steven Hill
Steven Hill is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University. Steven currently trains many of our Elite Group, IQ-Fit, and QuickFit classes. He also trains small groups and one-on-one clients.
Steven grew up in Florida and lived there until he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Growing up, he always participated in different sports and activities including football, soccer, swimming, wakeboarding, surfing and weightlifting. In high school he lettered three years in football, four years in competitive weightlifting, and one year on a top-ranked soccer team.
Steven has worked as a Personal Training Manager at 24-Hour Fitness, Gold’s Gym, and VASA Fitness. He also worked as the Fitness Manager at Jet.com before joining our team here at Elevate Fitness & Rehab.
Steven has a passion for helping people become the best versions of themselves. He knows the fitness world and he loves learning. Steven has always felt like the more he learns, the more he can be of service to his clients. He understands that client needs are personal, and he caters to those needs to help people change their lives and live happier and healthier.

Patrick Hansen
Patrick Hansen is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He currently coaches some of the Elite Group classes as well as doing one-on-one training.
Patrick is currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo to earn his BA in Nutritional Science. He grew up in Idaho and during his childhood and teen years participated in many different organized sports including football and basketball—as well as “extreme sports” such as snowmobiling and mountain biking! Throughout high school, Patrick began taking interest in nutrition and weightlifting programs—and, was fascinated by the benefits of both.
Patrick firmly believes that everyone has great physical potential that can be achieved through proper nutrition and training programs. He is absolutely committed to helping anyone willing to achieve this potential. Patrick firmly believes in the mantra of “improving 1% every day” and is committed to helping his clients become better every day.
In Patrick’s words, “I believe that everyone’s 1% is different—and because of this, catering to the needs of each individual client to help them change, and live happier, healthier lives is extremely fulfilling for me.”
