At Elevate, we focus on long term progress rather than short term gratification! Ultimately we’re here to motivate, educate, and keep you accountable to your fitness goals! We’re focused on building success and confidence for each individual. Our workouts are innovative and creative, yielding the safest and fastest results to make the most of your time. Our expert trainers are devoted to empowering you to be a better version of yourself!

This year we’re excited to continue the tradition of the Elevate Fitness Challenge! Participants will enjoy eight weeks of full access to the gym—plus unlimited Elite Group Training, IQFit and QuickFit classes, and our Saturday morning “challenge workouts.”

The program also includes:

 

  • monthly nutrition guidance based on challenge goals,
  • weekly health guidance,
  • weekly questionnaires to help keep you accountable,
  • weekly prizes based on questionnaires,
  • three weigh-ins on the InBody 570 Body Composition Scale,
  • a sweet t-shirt, and
  • the chance to win tons of prizes valued at over $2,500!

Registration Fee:

Your registration fee shown below is the total amount due for the full eight-week challenge.

 

  • $100 - Elevate Members currently paying for Unlimited Group Fitness Classes, Small Group Personal Training, or Private One-on-One Training
  • $125 - Elevate Members currently paying for 2–3x per week Group Fitness Classes
  • $175 - Nutrition Clients (on a current contract)
  • $450 - New Members

 

Elevate clients receive $25 off for each new client they refer who signs up for the challenge.

As a reminder, if you are a current Elevate client, your regular payments will be charged at normal billing intervals. Freezing your account during the challenge is not allowed.

Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please don’t sign up unless you’re committed to participating all eight weeks.

Prizes:

There will be three Overall Prizes:

 

  • Grand Prize (partnerships only):  $1,000 ($500 each) or six months of free Group Fitness Classes
  • Top Male: $250 or three months of free Group Fitness Classes
  • Top Female: $250 or three months of free Group Fitness Classes

 

Prizes above are awarded based on greatest overall body transformation changes (body fat percentage loss, muscle gained, physical change, etc.). Other factors taken into account will include class attendance and performance, attitude, and weekly questionnaire completion. This challenge is not strictly a “weight loss” challenge. We also take into account fat loss and muscle gained.

We will also be awarding WEEKLY prizes!

Weekly prizes are awarded based on weekly questionnaire scores. In the past, prizes have included tickets to Orem’s Hale Theatre, Wicked Audio headphones, and gift cards to Rocky Tire Pros in Orem—just to name a few!

Partners:

There is no partnership “requirement” for this year’s Fitness Challenge.

Participants can choose to participate in the challenge with or without a partner.

However, if you choose to participate with a partner, you’ll be eligible to win the Grand Prize!

A current Elevate client can partner with another member, or with a non-gym member provided that the non-gym member signs up for the challenge and completes the required weigh-ins as well.

Weigh-Ins:

Body composition testing is a way of measuring the different components of your body; specifically, water, muscle and fat. Weight alone is not a good indicator of health or fitness as it does not distinguish between body fat and lean body mass.

Pregnant women or those with implanted defibrillators or pacemakers should not be tested.

During the challenge, there will be three weigh-ins.

You will be able to schedule a time slot for your weigh-in at the Elevate front desk, or you can call (801) 221-9060 to schedule.

 

  • First Weigh-In (mandatory for all participants):  Friday/Saturday, January 5–6
  • Halfway Weigh-In:  Friday/Saturday, February 2–3
  • Final Weigh-In (mandatory to be eligible for Overall Prizes):  Friday/Saturday, March 1–2

Test Results:

Following the 50-second test, you will receive a printout detailing the following:

 

  • Total Body Water, Intracellular & Extracellular Water, Body Water Analysis
  • Dry Lean Mass, Body Fat Mass, Weight, Skeletal Muscle Mass
  • Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat Percentage, Segmental Lean Analysis
  • Segmental Fat Analysis, Visceral Fat Rating, Basal Metabolic Rate

 

You will receive a new printout, with the data indicated above, after each weigh-in.

Preparing for Your InBody Weigh-In:

To help you get the most accurate results, we strongly recommend the following preparation:

 

  • Avoid exercising or performing any strenuous physical activities for 12 hours before testing. Tests taken with abnormal body temperature (i.e. a fever, post exercise, or immediately after exposure to cold temperatures) may affect the accuracy of your test results.
  • Avoid eating a meal 2–4 hours before your test.
  • Hydrate well the day before your test and do not drink caffeine the day of your test.
  • Use the bathroom, and stand for at least 5 minutes prior to testing.
  • If possible, the test should be done before midday. If this is not possible, attempt to keep the time of day consistent over multiple tests.
  • For females, avoid taking the test during a menstrual cycle as total body water will be higher than normal.

How does the InBody 570 work?

InBody uses patented technology to measure your body’s internal composition. It measures each limb and the trunk separately and at multiple frequencies. This gives it much higher accuracy and reproducibility.

The InBody 570 passes a small, safe electrical current through the body and measures the body’s resistance to the current. This is called Bioelectrical Impedance (BIA).

InBody’s 570 is the most accurate bioimpedance device available today, with a +0.98 correlation coefficient when compared with DEXA scans.

Publicity Waiver & Release:

Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation, Inc. may collect individual and group photos, videos, and testimonials relating to our services. We use these for various purposes, including promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes.

Upon submission of this form you grant permission to use your photo, image, written statement, video, testimonial, voice or likeness in promotional materials and publicity efforts without any compensation.

Photos and videos may be retouched or edited and may further be used in publications, print ads, electronic media (e.g. video, internet) or other media now known or hereafter created.

You further agree that by participating in the photography or filming or providing written or verbal statements, you Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation, Inc. and its representatives, employees, photographers, and their designees from any and all liability for violation of any privacy or proprietary rights.

I further agree to the inclusion of my first name and first initial of my last name.

Your “Before” and “After” photos will not be shared without your approval.

Liability Waiver & Release

As a participant in the Elevate Fitness Challenge (fitness program), I hereby agree to the following:

  1. That I am participating in programs offered by Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation, Inc. I recognize that this requires physical exertion which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.
  2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in fitness programs. I represent and warrant that I have no medical condition which would prevent my full participation in a fitness program.
  3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the fitness program, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the program.
  4. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the fitness program, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation, Inc. for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in the fitness program.
  5. I, my heirs, legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation for any injury or death caused by their negligence or other acts.

Participant is aware that participation in the fitness program may result in accident or injury, and Participant assumes the risk connected with the participation in the fitness program and represents that Participant is in good health and suffers from no physical impairment which would limit their participation in the fitness program.

Participant acknowledges that Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation has not and will not render any medical services including medical diagnosis of Participant’s physical condition. Participant specifically agrees that Elevate Fitness & Rehabilitation, its officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any claim, demand, cause of action of any kind whatsoever for, or on account of death, personal injury, property damage or loss of any kind resulting from or related to fitness program.

I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.

“Before” and “After” Photographs

During the first weigh-in, you’ll complete your first weigh-in on the InBody 570 Body Composition Scale and have your “Before” photo taken. We will also take an “After” photograph during the final weigh-in.

We encourage tight fitting/minimal clothing (compression shorts for men, and sports bra and compression shorts for women) to really highlight the dramatic changes that will occur over the eight weeks—however, please dress to your comfort level.

“Before” and “After” photographs will not be publicly shared without your prior consent, unless you are on of the overall winners of the challenge.

It is important that we get the most accurate reading possible during your weigh-in.

As such, please review the “Preparing for Your InBody Weigh-In” section on this webpage prior to your initial weigh-in.

Please... no food or exercise four hours prior to weigh-in!

Class Schedule During the Fitness Challenge:

 

There will be a new class added on Saturday mornings at 7:30am which will only be available during the challenge.

The first Saturday class will be held on January 13th and the final Saturday class will be held on February 24th.

Regular gym hours are Monday thru Friday, 5:00am–8:00pm, and Saturdays from 7:00am–1:00pm. You willl have unlimited access to use the gym during these hours to work out when you want to—however, class participation is strongly encouraged.
